Important: This page is a step-by-step informational guide only. VehicleRegDetail.com does not operate a vehicle search or lookup database, and we do not collect, store or disclose owner names, phone numbers, addresses or any personal vehicle data. For real verification, RC download, challan payment or licence status checks, please visit the official Parivahan / VAHAN government portal directly.

There are three official ways to check the vehicle record in India: the VAHAN National Register portal, the mParivahan app and the VAHAN SMS service. Each method uses the same underlying registration data, but the steps and the output differ. This page is the operating manual; the information-range overview explains what the record can and cannot show.

Method 1: VAHAN National Register Portal

  1. Open the official VAHAN National Register at vahan.parivahan.gov.in/nrservices.
  2. Choose "Know Your Vehicle Details".
  3. Enter the registration number and complete the captcha.
  4. Submit the search and read the official record shown on the page.

Method 2: NextGen mParivahan App

  1. Install the NextGen mParivahan app from the official app store listing.
  2. Open the vehicle search or "Know Your Vehicle Details" section.
  3. Enter the registration number and complete the verification step.
  4. Review the vehicle and registration details shown in the app.

Method 3: VAHAN SMS Service

  1. Use the official VAHAN SMS format published on the Parivahan portal.
  2. Send the message to the official number listed there.
  3. Read the basic registration details in the reply.

Which Method Should You Use?

mParivahan appQuick checks on a phoneRequires the app and a verification step

What the Record Does Not Show

Some owner fields are masked for privacy, and no method exposes a complete personal profile. If you need a record for a used-car purchase, combine the official result with the seller verification checklist.

What This Site Does Not Do

VehicleRegDetail.com explains the steps only. We do not run a lookup service, collect registration numbers, or retrieve owner contact details.
